Cabin 14 is both a place and an idea. This old log cabin, which is located in Beaverland Camp about 45 km. north of the city of North Bay Ontario is a place I have been visiting with family and friends for 35 years and, it’s where the idea and inspiration for this website and the Cabin 14 books and stories first took shape.
Your feedback is very important so please pay us a visit whenever you can and don’t hesitate to share your thoughts and experiences.
If you’ve read any of the material I have been plastered this site with over the past year or so, you will have likely figured out that I have taken up retirement on a full time basis.
While it was a long time coming, as I suppose most retirements are, it has certainly been well worth the wait...

While buying fishing tackle can be a very enjoyable experience it can also be darn frustrating at times. The selections are mind numbing, everyone claims that their stuff will out fish and out last everyone else’s and prices range from downright cheap to the ridiculously expensive.

While driving along Highway #11, about forty-five kilometres north of the city of North Bay Ontario, you will come across a sign marking the turn off for Beaverland Road. Make the turn and after a short drive along the relatively narrow dirt road you will arrive in Beaverland Camp.

Together with my trusty administrator Kris, of Fish On Line Canada fame, we have many new and interesting things planned for the Cabin 14 web-site in the coming months.
To begin with we will be adding a number of new and updated stories from the Cabin 14 book series along with numerous photographs from various “exotic” fishing locations that I have traveled to throughout Ontario, Nunavut, the Northwest Territories and Alaska.
